[TUT] How to Flash Official Recovery ROM WITH LOCKED BOOTLOADER on XIAOMI MI Smartphones
Hey Mi Fans,
Here is a 100% working procedure to Flash any Official Rom with LOCKED BOOTLOADER.
This method has been tested on below devices:-
Redmi Note 5 Pro
Redmi Note 5 Pro (India)
Redmi Note 5
You can try on other devices too
"DATA WILL BE ERASED USE AT YOUR OWN RISK"
REQUIRED DOWNLOADS:-
MiPhone Assistant
Choose the CORRECT Recovery Rom for your device:
Xiaomi Official Rom Downloads Link For All Devices
1. Download and extract MiPhoneAssistantBeta folder on the desktop.
2. Run MiPhoneAssistant.exe as administrator and login your Mi Account.
3. Boot phone to RECOVERY MODE. Power off. Hold Vol UP + POWER when MI logo appears release Power.
Select CONNECT WITH MI ASSISTANT.
4. Connect phone to pc and wait to be detected.
On MI Assistant Choose SELECT ROM PACKAGE. It's up to you to select FLASH (keeps data) or QUICK-FLASHING (all data will be erased).
But I prefer QUICK-FLASHING.
5. Select Rom Package Xiaomi Official Rom Downloads Link For All Devices and click OK/OPEN. There are assert errors but it's fine just click OK twice and it will verify the Rom package file.
6. It will ask if you want to wipe all data on your device. Select UPGRADE and it will flash. Wait for it to FINISH DONE.
So Friends that is the process to flash any official Rom without unlocking bootloader BOOTLOADER of Xiaomi Mi Redmi Handsets.

We all know Xiaomi secure all smartphones with locking its bootloader to prevent ant misuse of your device even if it lost (Because without unlocking bootloader no one can even flash an official Rom on your device) But sometimes you want to flash a different Rom or you want to change your Rom from Stable to Developer Rom the frustration is that without unlocking bootloader you can't change from Stable to Developer Rom and unlocking bootloader requires permission from Xiaomi and this process is time-consuming (Sometimes 14 to 45 Days).
